Welcome!

My name is Tom Clapp and I’m the CEO of The Employee Testing Center.

For many years we’ve been helping businesses make better hiring decisions.  In fact, this is our specialty: Employee testing which tells you a great deal about a person before you hire them. We believe the more you know about someone before you hire them, the better your hiring decision will be.

Pre-employment testing however, is just one component of the broader topic known as Human Resources.  And in our business we have had the good fortune to have learned a lot about this subject.

I look forward to sharing this with you here.

Client Success Makes the Work Worthwhile

Here at the Employee Testing Center we are constantly working to help our clients hire better staff. In today’s world of reduced quality of basic education and literacy and the other ills of society, this can often be a challenge.  In fact, I hear about the problems of hiring and training staff every day as I speak to our clients.

So, when I hear a real good success from one of our clients, I say to myself, “this is worthwhile, keep going.”  I got one of these in today, and it was such a good one that I felt the need to share.  My partner will probably tell me that blog posts should have content that can be used by our clients and that this is no place for testimonials.  So, to this end, I’ll share the current success, but add a bit of content that might just help your busness, if not your overall sense of well being.  Here is what our client said:

“The Employee Testing Center helped me make the right hiring decision for my business.  Before having our candidates take the tests, we had them ranked in order from best to worst.  One candidate that we had ranked second scored much higher than the others in the top 5 so we decided to hire him.  It was a great decision and we will be using The Employee Testing Center for future hires as well.”

So, what’s the content on this Thanksgiving day?  Share the good news.  Do the opposite of complaining.  Find something that is going right and spread the word. Laugh a little.  Laugh a lot. Don’t read the newspaper headlines. Complement your spouse, your staff who did a good job, your young child who tries to help. The world is filled with bad news. Make today a day to spread the good news.
